Hola Familia,
Wow, soccer is starting to get pretty big in the states. I can't believe the US men beat Germany and Holland back to back. That sounds great. Also the US women sound like they are doing well in the World Cup. I haven't heard one thing about the Women World Cup here in Peru. They really don't care about women's soccer. This week the Copa America started in Chili. It is a huge soccer tournament of all of America. People have been watching soccer all week. Yesterday, Peru played Brasil. We could here the game walking down the street because every television was tuned in to the game. We were just about to knock on a converts door when I think all of Peru shouted ''Goal!'' It was so loud. They ended up losing 2 to 1 and everyone was pretty depressed the rest of the night. Peru will play again and still have a chance. It will be hard to teach while they are playing.
I feel like I just had the most crazy week of my entire mission. I ended up going on about 3 work visits this week with the zone leaders and the AP. They ended up helping the area a lot. I was super scared to go out with the AP but he wanted to visit my area because he was here about 6 months ago. He kept telling everyone that he will be coming back. I kept thinking, Oh great, that means I have to visit with the AP again.
Everything is going great in my area. We are teaching a ton of people and finding new people everyday. We have been going to bed late every night because we have to teach one investigator at 9 ocklock at night. We have been given special permission to stay out till about 10 to teach him. It is all paying off now though because he has come to church twice and should be baptized before the end of the month.
Juana and Miguel keep progressing. I will be missing a lot of my p day because I have to go with them to the Center of Lima to sign them up for the marriage. They came to church this week and really enjoyed it. They already knew a couple people in the ward and they should be able to help them out and progress even more for their baptism. They have a few doubts about being baptized but we talk about their doubts every time we are at their house. Hopefully all goes well and they get married in a couple weeks.
Oh, I finally got my package that you sent in March. It finally came through or something. I was super excited to get it and my companion was too. I have accumulated a lot of things that I would like to send home but I don't have the phone number of Vanessa's dad. If you can find it and give it to me that would be great. I will be looking for the package you sent me.
Hopefully this next week won't be quite so stressful. I feel like I am at the end of a tied soccer match in extra time. We are going all out and aren't leaving anything on the line. Between training and teaching so many people I am super tired. Hopefully I can sleep more.
Tenga una buena semana
Elder Isaacson
