Hola Familia,
I am glad to hear that Dad's surgery went well. It is kind of crazy that he was in surgery for 2 hours. I hope he recovers quickly and completely. I will keep him in my prayers. He has to be completely healed up for the time when I get home so we can go do a bunch of fun things.
Good luck with your class Mom. It sounds like it will be a pretty rough year. I don't like to tell people that their dumb, but your students sound pretty dumb. Only two registered a score on the reading test. But don't worry Mom, you will figure something out.
I can't believe all the sports are starting up again. I got to see quite a bit of the USA vs Peru game. It was pretty good. I recognized and knew more players from Peru than I did from the US. I was cheering for the US. I had a bet with Elder Rosales, my DL. With the US win, I won dinner.
I had a pretty good week. Last week I wrote that the area was kind of bad off. We went to work this week and worked really hard. We found a lot of new investigators. I don't know if many will progress. We started to go back to old investigators too. In the end, all payed off when we had 5 investigators in church. I was super excited because we didn't have much to work with when I got here. We also had 21 of 25 converts in church this week between the two companionships in the ward. At the end of the week we were super excited.
I get along pretty well with Elder Sancarranco. He feels bad abouut how he has wasted some of his time in the mission. He has settled in and we have started to work hard. We still have fun and do fun things, be we are obedient now.
The ward is kind of bad off. It is a bunch of old people. They don't really want to help us out at all. I am not used to knocking on a ton of doors to find lessons. Normally we will get references or people will let us in. Here, all the old people are stubborn and don't want to listen to us. Even with all that, we had some success this week. I hope all goes well next week too.
I hope you all have a great week and that Dad gets better.
Love,
Elder Isaacson
