August 24, 2015

Hola Familia,

It sounds like life is starting to get pretty busy again. I can't believe school is already starting. It doesn't seem like a whole school year and summer have already passed by. I hope everything goes well with Dad's shoulder. Keep me updated on it.

Transfers are today. I will be finding out if I go in about an hour. I think I will be going because I have 6 months here and I just finished training Elder Orbegoso. I am ready to go but it is always sad to have a change. I will have to say goodbye to a lot of people today. I printed out a lot of pictures and wrote a small message to all the people I have taught here.

This week was pretty good. We had a baptism Saturday. Mariana was baptized, and Elder Orbegoso baptized her. He was just as nervous as she was, but he did great. She was super excited. We also had a lot of support from the members since Mariana has gone to church for almost seven months.

We did a big service project by ourselves on Wednesday. We had a family that are recent converts haul bricks so they can build onto their house. Just the dad, Elder Orbegoso, and I were there. We hauled more than 500 bricks up more than 50 stairs and then about 50 more yards down a trail. It about killed me. Afterwards my comp and I fell into our beds and didn't want to go out and teach. But we went teaching anyway. I slept super good that night.

I went on a work visit to the companionship in my district this week. I was able to help them out a lot. I had to do three interviews. In the end, all of them came to church and will be baptized. I was physically exhausted after the interviews because they were pretty rough with some major doubts about the gospel. I am super thankful for the spirit that helped me out because I know I didn't say a lot of the things that came out of my mouth.

My area is doing pretty well. We have a lot of investigators right now. A lot of them are progressing. We have a lot of investigators progressing. We have two that are ready to get baptized but their dad doesn't want to sign the permission slips. Their mom is a member but want their dad to let them get baptized. We will work with him. My area has a lot of potencial for September. The next missionary that gets here should be able to have a lot of success. I trust Elder Orbegoso that he will be able to take over the area. He has learned a lot. He finished his training yesterday. I feel like he is ready to take on more responsibility.

I hope you have a good first week back at school.

Love,
Elder Isaacson
